Taking care of a person with dementia is a role like no other, and that role requires training. The Savvy Caregiver Program will: educate people caring for a loved one with dementia living at home; help caregivers appreciate the scope and impact of caregiving; increase important dementia caregiving skills; and offer proven strategies and practical knowledge with the GOAL of improving the quality of life for both the person with dementia and the caregiver. This program is facilitated by the Alzheimer's Association. Additional Information: The five-part series is led by Pat Gleason-Wynn, PhD, LCSW, RN. There is a one-time fee of $20 to help cover the cost of the Savvy Caregiver handbook and other class materials.
